Intel fan adapter for the Ender 3 / Ender 3 PRO power supply
Description
This adapter is used for fixing a standard Intel processor fan onto the Ender 3 / Ender 3 PRO power supply. The Intel processor fan needs to be prepared in the same way as mentioned in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4124586. However, in my case, I didn’t use the glue to mount the fan because it sits firmly in the adapter. You can mount either an adapter with a platform for the 66mm x 35mm DC-DC LM2596 module with a display OR an adapter without a platform: 1. To mount an adapter with a platform, the adapter should be placed with the platform facing upwards. 2. To mount an adapter without a platform, its flattest side should be facing the printer frame. In both cases, the standard screws from the power supply fan should be used. The adapter should be screwed from the inner side of the power supply cover. To print this adapter model, it must be turned to the hotbed as shown on the attached picture. The supports will only be needed for the cover. ATTENTION! 1. Before turning on the adapter, make sure the fan rotates freely in the adapter! 2. For the Ender 3 printer (NOT Ender 3 PRO), before connecting the Intel fan, adjust the DC-DC LM2596 module voltage to 12 V or lower. RECOMMENDATION I adjusted the DC-DC LM2596 module voltage to 7 V. The fan works quietly and the power supply is cold.
