This a simple lithium ion bracket for the Philips DCC 170/175 player and simular devices. It is a cheap and easy solution as the nimh batteries needed are more and more difficult to get. Solder the wires to the pcb, glue the pcb to the back side and glue the cover on. Use: Put the bracket in the player and place 18650 cell in it. Then put the normal battery cover on. If the cell is empty, remove it from the bracket and charge in a 18650 charger. The bracket can stay in the player. update: 3-2-2021: updated version, power booster fits against the inside of the top of the bracket, extra cover to enclose the electronics. 14-2-2021: small refinements 20-02-2021 : made pcb case a little smaller, added stud on case cover, which keeps the pcb in place 30-03-2021: version 1.3 is half a milimeter shorter. Fitting it will be more easy while retaining the connection with the player.
