Computer speakers basing on 2.5-inch Peerless drivers
Description
Hello, Here you can find the model of cabinets built around 2.5 inch aluminium cone full-range Peerless PLS-65N25AL03-04 speakers. Parameters: - each box has volume of 2 liters, - bass-reflex tuned for around 70 Hz, - resonant frequency of speaker : bit less than 120 Hz, - speakers can handle 25 W (mine consist of 2x3 W class D amplifier and USB supply hidden in one of the boxes called "active"). I've calculated the cabinet volume basing on WinISD and speaker parameters I've found on a producer website. Bass is punchy, but do not go deep - possibly bass-reflex tube can be tuned for improved low frequency response. High pitch tones are slightly over-articulated. In general I'm quite satisfied by the effect I achieved, but mostly by the way how they look :) At the end - they do the job as a sound extension for my laptop. Printing of single box has taken around 24 hours. I've used a filament called "copper", however in fact it looks more or less like wooden. Bass-reflex pipe is made of black mat filament. Cheers!
