Z-Axis end stop shim Ender 3 V2
Description
Remixed from pSouper. "This is a really simple shim to offset the z-axis endstop simply slide it over the z-axis motor plate directly above the end-stop switch". Spacer is designed to allow for a 5mm spacing. I have an Ender 3 V2 and switched to stiffer yellow springs. They were a bit longer than the stock springs and would cause the nozzle to crash into the bed even with the springs tightened as far as possible/bed as low as possible. Originally I just moved the z-axis end stop up on the rail but dont want to deal with vibrations over time potentially lossening the screws and it sliding down. So I remixed the original design based on the measurements of the offset i had raised my endstop bracket by. So I lowered my Z endstop bracket back to original place resting on rail and installed this spacer. Installation: raise the z-axis so that you can access between the motor plate and the z-axis endstop switch. Slide the shim on to the metal plate so the the flat side is at the bottom and inline (horizontally) with the z-axis endstop switch. It will now trigger the switch and stop the z-axis 5mm earlier, compensating for the difference in longer length of the springs I installed. (I've only got the E3Pro so have no idea if it works on any other set up) Please comment to let me know if it works for you or if you have a different z-gap?
