Snapmaker 1.0 Custom Controller Case for 40mm Cooling Fan
Description
A custom controller case for the Original Snapmaker 1.0 adapted to fit any 40mm noiseless fan, replacing the always on small and loud fan in order to reduce noise. Printed in 3 parts which snap fit together is attached using the same screws from the original controller case. I have substituted all 3 fans of my original snapmaker 1.0 and printing module and now have noise reduced to 50dB with ambient noise level already at 33dB, by using just cheap brushless low noise off the shelf fans I got from amazon. This result was measured with the dB Meter App on an Phone X, placed a few cm from the snapmaker 1.0 turned on but not operating. I would upgrade to high end noiseless fans when I have the budget. For the part cooling fan replacement with a 40mm fan, check out my other file https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4753447 The nozzle cooling fan can also be replaced by inserting a 40mmX10mm fan into the right side of the module where the smaller fan was placed. So a pack of 4, 24V 40mm noiseless fans will suffice for the whole operation. I will be working on ways to reduce/dampen vibration on the snapmaker original itself.
