Propeller Driven Car
Description
The Propeller Driven Car is a vehicle that is moved by a propeller. Models for the Platform and various Motor Mount options are included. The Motor Mount is designed to hold a small DC motor, to which is attached a propeller. The size of the motor is approximately 20mm diameter and 15mm across the main flats. For the Motor Mount, ideally select the v06 model with a suitable amount of design clearance. Select an option based on the capability of your available 3D printer. If unsure, start with the model with 0.4mm clearance. 0.2mm - no dot - resin printer 0.4mm - one dot 0.8mm - two dots 1.2mm - three dots An older v05 version of the Motor Mount is also included. Supports are not required. For a filament printer, use 25% infill and 2 shells. If the motor has a loose fit, use double-sided tape, a suitable adhesive (epoxy) or a cable tie. Attach the Motor Mount to your platform using double-sided tape. The models may be used for a propeller driven car PROPC, which is available from https://www.scorpiotechnology.com.au/ If using the supplied Platform model and the suggested kit, cut the guide tubes 50mm long and the shafts 73mm long. The Motor Mount and Platform were designed in ViaCAD.
