Lexivon LX-770 Torch Base and Collar Stand
Description
Press fit base to allow your Lexivon LX-770 pencil torch to easily stand upright. The included collar stand slides onto the threaded shaft of the torch and is secured by the heat shield nut, allowing the torch to be laid down on a workbench while hot. The spacer is installed onto the shaft before the outer heat shield. It takes up the additional gap created by the new collar stand. The heat shield is then drawn tightly up against the spacer by the heat shield and heat shield collar. The spacer will be in direct contact with the base of the heat shield, and will get VERY hot during use! PET-G or other high-temp plastic should be used. Even better would be to fashion the spacer out of another material (Cut one out of PTFE sheet etc). During testing, mine got hot and the petg spacer got very soft, but as long as I didn't play with it and let it cool down before disassembling..it seems work fine.
