Artillery Sidewinder X1 Enclosure Vents
Description
These vents can be used to circulate fresh air across the mainboard of the Sidewinder X1 in an enclosure. The enclosure must be at least 21 inches wide to accommodate the side vents. The foot holds ensure that your printer is centered over the bottom vent/fan and also bump the printer up 2mm. Without the footholds, or another material to raise it 2mm, the side vents will not line up properly. The best way to install these parts is by taking the bottom panel off of your printer and removing the fan and feet. Place the bottom panel exactly where you want the printer to be and then trace the screw holes for the feet and fan. Reassemble the printer. You will have exact marks for the foot holds- screw them down. For the center vent, use a ruler to make two diagonal lines across the fan screw hole marks then line up the center vent on those lines. Screw it down, trace the inside, remove the center vent then cut the hole. Next, place the printer on the foot holds and align the side vents. Screw them down. I used a really short pencil to trace the inside of the left and right vents for cutouts. Cut inside your marks as there is not a huge margin for error on the side vents. I recommend using manual supports for the side vents, only under the very top, flat section. I had no issue printing the rest without support.
