5015 Fan Mount for E3D Hemera
Description
I recently upgraded to a Hemera extruder and I wanted a way to mount a 5015 fan to it. I wasn't super excited about any of the other mounts I found here on Thingiverse so I decided to make my own. Things I like about this fan mount: * It doesn't obscure the view of the nozzle. * It provides a flow of air from about a 70 degree arc that is focused right at the nozzle. * The air flow can be adjusted up or down without having to remove the fan. * The fan mounts to the duct with two m3 screws and nuts providing a secure mounting that is reversible (not glued). * The duct mounts flush to the Hemera motor adding little volume to the extruder package and doesn't block the air flow from the heatsink fan ducts. * The duct itself is very light and easy to print. Some recommendations: * Print in the same orientation as it mounts. * Use "Supports Touching Buildplate". * You might want to print the duct in PETG if you ever intend to print anything high temp so as to avoid any chance of melting but I don't think it's strictly necessary. * Consider reducing your fan speed to around 50% if you are using this duct when printing PLA. A 5015 fan can produce enough of a breeze to warp a PLA print if you run it at 100%.
