Description

This is the start of my latest project, a fully 3d printed grasping hand/manipulator it is based on a finger hinge design. the grasp functionality will be through the use of elastic bands on the grasping side and will be opened by a wire that runs through the knuckle side of the joints. further sections and assemblies will be uploaded in due course for now, as a proof of concept, I have uploaded the 2 components I have printed being the hinge pin and finger joint section itself. first prototype printed with no raft or support in PLA and required only minimal clean up in the hinge hole on the large side other than a quick twist of a needle file in that hole the parts fit straight off the printer the final will need support unless you slice the band lug side off to be printed separately
