IC Pin Straightener (8-32 Thread)
Description
This is just a minor alteration to the original design. My local hardware store didn't have any of the 4-40 bolts available, but they did have the correct sizes in 8-32 threading. The holes on this model have been resized for the 8-32 bolts. I've also included the wide version (0.6" vs 0.3") based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1855297. The same size springs will work on this design as well, and it is not necessary to tap the holes in my experience. In case you're looking for the FreeCAD project files for this design, they are provided in the download. ### Requires - 1x: 3D-printed parts - 2x: #8-32 x 1.25" socket head cap screw (1.75" for wide version) - 4x: Compression spring, 3/8" long x 0.3" OD
