ADKS Ender 3 Fan Duct v3 - Improved Mount
Description
Modification to the original ADKS hotend shroud to address the following concerns: - The original duct was developing fractures where the two mounting brackets were fastened to the shroud. This new design now mounts the shroud directly to the hotend carriage (as per the stock shroud), and features a small pass-through hole for a hex key to access the top screw, and is reinforced around the mounting area. - I use JST-SM connectors for my fans, which are too big for the cable routing hole. With this design, I can now: - Feed the hotend fan connector directly through the duct itself. - Feed the parts cooling fan connector through the slot cutout on the top - The original cable routing hole has been patched - A cable management loop has been added as a tie-down point for the cables - The slot at the top also improves printability, making it easier for Cura to add tree supports to the internal volume. - Designed for a 4020 size parts cooling fan #####Hardware Needed Only the two screws from the stock shroud are needed to mount the shroud.
