MacBook Pro 16" Spacer Feet
Description
The 16" MBP has a little issue where the VRMs will overheat during longer use under high load (like exporting 4K video from Final Cut) and the machine will heavily throttle the CPU and GPU. The main reason is, that heat collects between the bottom of the machine and the surface it sits on (there is barely any room). I know, there are cooling pads and other stands, but I prefer the laptop to sit straight. They're quite fast to print and don't need a lot of material. These little spacer feet will lift the machine by about 1.5cm which is enough for it to properly dissipate heat from the VRMs (at least in my testings). Simply print 4 of those. They slide on from the sides and hold in place by the rubber feet of the MBP. That way they can be easily put on and removed at any time, as I only intended to use them when they're needed. They still allow access to all 4 ports (unless you use some really wide plugs). WARNING: Do NOT close the MacBook with the feet attached. It will damage or even break the display lid. I attached the Fusion 360 project if someone wants to change them to fit other machines.
