Description
[DISCLAIMER: I do not have printed this yet. only the bearing part... I have to rework this part. I need to get longer needles for the bearing otherwise it will not align. So I am pretty sure the design will not work. but I will work out the bearing one more time to get it working.] Hi Everybody, a fundamental trial: a one piece 3d printed diabolo with integrated bearing... It is a concept using the printable bearings found on thingiverse as well. Here three versions- which I cannot tell if it is possible to print or not... Just try. To your information: having a print support just below the center is certainly an advantage. I believe printing it with a multiple extruder with PLA for the main body and the mechanical bearing anf TPU for the edges/rims will make awesome object. Using only TPU will not work (the bearing will probably defomr under load... what you do not want you want the bearing needles to rotate freely) Having a material that you can switch by temperature of extrusion between a flexible material or a rigid material... would be there awesome for all people having only a single extruder. Just an idea for anybody willing to go in such science stuff... Best Regards Dr_Froggy. NOTA: if anybody do one... please give me a feedback... I am willing to improve the design
