Double DIN rail keystone holder
Description
I was using standard Keystone holder in my switching cabinet. They all had several drawbacks: - They were flimsy - Keystones were hard to get in and even harder to get out - They only held one keystone - They were expensive So I designed an alternative that fixes all these issues. The result is a cheap to print, extremely rigid keystone holder that can hold two keystones. Keystones easily snap in, and can be extracted with a standard screwdriver. You need to snap the lower keystone in first. You can (and should) use a screwdriver to snap it to the rail. Additionally I designed a hole for a M3 screw with a nut holder - this is a fallback mechanism if (and only if) the holder fails or gets too loose. There is only one drawback: I was unable to squeeze it into the 18mm a "TE" usually has. It is exactly 20mm in width, so you can only fit 11 of those on one rail (instead of 12). Thanks to mwu for his keystone receiver: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:548145 Addendum, second version: Depending on material and print quality, the upper keystone could rip off the small border. This is due to the alignment when printing. To circumvent this issue, I designed a new version, now with two parts that need to be joined (with M3 18mm or 20mm screws): Now you can print the bottom part lying on the side and the keystone part lying on the face. Also, the new "two part" part will be only 18mm wide - exactly 1 TE.
