Case for a Diresta Skeleton Blade
Description
I wanted a way to keep my Diresta Skeleton Blade reasonably safe on my desk, while at the same time learning Fusion 360. This case has a very simple locking mechanism that keeps the blade in the case, while making it easy to remove for opening the endless packages that get delivered on a daily basis. You'll need the following hardware: - 6 x M3 12mm bolts - 6 x M3 nuts - 1 x M4 8mm dowel pin, or something of similar dimensions to use as a hinge pin. I had to rotate the top and bottom parts such that they print from corner to corner in order to fit them on my Ender 3v2 build plate. The size means you won't be able to use a skirt or brim, but I didn't find these necessary anyway. I printed the locking part on it's edge to allow for the ball-detent feature on both sides. I gave a generous brim on this piece to ensure bed adhesion. All the other pieces were printed flat on the bed, with the scalloped faces pointing up (obviously).
