* updated * - Hotshoe-attached thumb rest & Q button for Fujifilm X-E4
Description
* 4/9/21 - updated to add a wide-button version This is a hotshoe-attached thumb rest and Q button for the Fujifilm X-E4. A raised button on a living hinge is used to allow for easier access to the Q button. As 3D-printed plastics are not very rigid, particularly for use cases such as a thumb rest, a boss that rests on the back of the camera body is used to take up the load for when pressure is applied to the thumb rest. While difficult to tell form the image, clearance is provided to allow for free operation of the shutter dial. Furthermore the hotshoe attachment provides for a snug interference fit, and a living hinge feature locks it securely in to place preventing accidental back outs. To release, gently lift up on its front tab... To attach, carefully catch the front of the living hinge on top of the hotshoe side rails so it gently gives way, allowing one to slide the rest of the attachment into the hotshoe. Slide all the way forward until it snaps and locks into place,
