Ender 3 / 5 - Stock LCD Enclosure
Description
I removed the name on the front in the LCD_Front_Panel_Blank file and that was my only change there. In the other file, LCD_Front_Panel_Blank_No_Holes-Sturdy, I plugged the holes on the front and made them smaller on the back so that you can just use the stock screws and tap them directly into the plastic. I also added a piece on the back that I had hoped would strengthen the part a bit more and remove a weird bump that was there. The holes for the screws are not perfectly placed but they are good enough. I did them by eye but got them very very close to correct. I may make it perfect later but I doubt it as it works fine right now. I liked this design because it isolated the LCD screen from the metal parts of the printer. I wanted to do this as there are at times issues with grounding or something like that and the LCD will come alive and do random stuff on its own like enter the menu and select things. This should stop that issue. If you want to use the back panel from the original piece you will have to get some longer screws. The stock screws for the LCD will very likely not fit. I am not using the back panel, so not a big deal for me. This perfectly fit the stock LCD on my Ender3Pro. If you want the same knob as in my picture you can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4808183 - This fits better than the one in my picture as they have now updated it. It sits much more flush than you see here.
