MICROSWISS 78MM PTFE CUT GUIDE FOR CREALITY ORIGINAL HOTEND

MICROSWISS 78MM PTFE CUT GUIDE FOR CREALITY ORIGINAL HOTEND

Description

I am installing the MicroSwiss direct drive extruder on my Ender 5+ and Ender 3. I want to use the original Creality hotend though (I don't plan on printing hotter than 240). The PTFE guide that comes with the kit is intended only for the MicroSwiss all metal hotend. So I contacted them and they said I need to cut my PTFE to 78mm length and then cut a 60° angle on the end (that should be easy enough right). I came up with this jig to assist in cutting the PTFE with the correct length and angle. I printed this twice, then laid a small rubber band in the opening before placing the PTFE. The rubber band gives enough friction that the tube will not slide around while handling. Then I tightened 2 zip ties as tight as I could get them to hold everything together. I tried this first with just 1 print and the zip ties made marks in the PTFE as well as the PTFE was able to move around a bit on the ends. 2 prints clamping it makes the PTFE much more constrained. Then you can make 3 cuts: 2 cuts are to get the correct 60° angle, and the 3rd cut is the end to get it flat. I hope you get some use out of the print. Let me know how it works for you.
