Anet A8 Extruder Fan Hinge
Description
I've been getting annoyed with having to take apart the extruder setup every time I've wanted to change the filament so I decided I would try and make a hinge to allow the fan to easily swivel up out the way. I am currently using a 40x40x20Mm fan to increase airflow through the extruder. To use this you will need to remove your heatsink, although I have not tested it with it. It will not work with the 20mm fan and heatsink. Originally took inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2380825, but decided that I didn't like how it attached to the upper bolt as I have a cable clip located there, it was also very brittle in the arm so I redesigned it to allow the fan to sit closer to the extruder setup whilst also increasing the side of the arm to improve strength. EDIT: Added a brace as I found the arm was quite flexible even when printed with higher infill levels.
