HERO (Hand Exoskeleton for Rehabilitation Objectives)
Description
Here we present the HERO (Hand Exoskeleton for Rehabilitation Objectives). This project was part of my master's degree course in collaboration with a research group from the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience in Natal, Brazil. We developed a new manufacturing method to create hand exoskeletons for rehabilitation that combines 3D printing with textiles. In this repository, we provide the 3D modeled parts and assemblies to print and build the HERO. These parts are available in 3 formats: .SLDPRT, .STEP, and .STL. There are two separated directories within the .zip file: one with the glove's parts and the other with the actuator's parts. Instructions related to this project are available in the work entitled "Development of a low-cost EEG-controlled hand exoskeleton 3D printed on textiles" (Frontiers in Neuroscience | Neuroprosthetics). You can access it here: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnins.2021.661569/full.
