Newtonian Imaging Adapters - Paracorr, Guide Tube, EFMount to OAG
Description
This is a full set of adapters to use with a TSOAG9 to use with an Canon EOS camera (EF Mount), a simple 1.25" guide camera (QHY 5L-IIM), and a Tele Vue Paracorr Type 2 in a newtonian telescope. From the paracorr lens to the camera body is between 12-13mm and since I'm personally not using a full frame camera (yet) it doesn't need to be super precise. These were all designed in OpenSCAD which I implore everyone to learn and use, it's incredible and makes this kind of prototyping super easy to iterate with. The OAG I use is [Teleskop Express TSOAG9](https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/language/en/info/p641_TS-Optics-Off-Axis-Guider-TSOAG9---Length-only-9-mm.html). I chose this over the TSOAG11 because I foolishly thought the M48 adapter was male (external threads). I had built adapters assuming that which can't be used. It seems to be around 11.2mm wide when accounting for the M48 height. The EOS adapter has a notch for the locking pin but I've not yet printed it and verified it. The 3 sections are a bit smaller than the actual metal adapter which allows for better screw alignment to avoid the overhanging flash. The Paracorr adapter is similar to what Teleskop Express makes but is thinner. It can also be used on the TSOAG11 since it's the same M48 thread. The Guide Tube adapter is to allow a standard 1.25" camera properly focus on the OAG. A helical focuser is too big and this is a simple solution for a set-and-forget configuration. The tube has 2 3mm holes for thumb screws that came with my helical focuser.
