Oculus Quest 2 Headphone Mount using Dean Connector

Oculus Quest 2 Headphone Mount using Dean Connector

Description

Modified the mount aptly designed by user @RonnyNeu. It uses headphones from an original Rift CV1, and allows to connect it to the 3.5 mm audio output on the left side of the Quest 2. The electrical contact is managed thanks to salvaged gold-coated contacts found on a female Dean connector, commonly used in RC vehicule. You just pull the contact from the plastic shrouding, and it should come right off. I did my design to allow that. I would advice adding a bit of paper behind the contact to press them nearer the pins of the headset. After checking that both the loudspeakers works as it should and in stereo, I used hot glue to seal the electronics. Quotes from @RonnyNeu : -You will need to solder the ground cable and one of the channels to each headphone (on my cable right was red and left was white and the ground was around those two). -I also used those parts (bought them on amazon.de, but i guess amazon.co.uk is better for everyone ^^) Headphone Cable https://www.amazon.co.uk/deleyCON-Stereo-Angled-Smartphone-Receiver-black/dp/B016WJWU0A Sleeve Nut https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sleeve-Countersunk-Hexagonal-Socket-Stainless/dp/B016Y88WUQ
