CR10 V3 Printhead Cable management
Description
Hi, First post here, hope this helps someone out. I recently acquired my shiny new CR10 V3......... Although this is a nicely built unit with some before hand tinkering needed to get it up and running properly, there were a few things that brought a quick question mark (Puzzled look) to my face. One of which is the printhead cable that drags behind the printhead touching the bed while printing. I don't think I need to spell out the problems that could be caused by this? So I came up with this little brace/ bracket that attaches to the BL sensors spot on the printhead frame. Now, I do not yet have a BL touch sensor so, if one of you lucky people has one and decides to try out my attempt at this cable management solution, could you please let me know if it fits with the correct length screws AND the BL touch sensor? That would be great! In the pictures you'll see first my V1 attempt and lastly my V2 attempt, I did tweak the design a bit after finding that bracket was a bit flimsy on the cables side and so I added a bit of strength to it and also have made provision for cable tie slots for small cable ties. One word of warning please. When removing or replacing the direct extruder one does need to slightly bend the wire side of the bracket out of the way of the extruders back plate as this does catch by a few mm, But I did not want to make that bit any more shallow as I felt it would put strain on the stepper motors cables. Enjoy. Regards Charles
