Canoe Gunwale Rod Holder Mount
Description
Custom mount for aluminum canoe gunwale (gunnel) to hold old style rowlock (oarlock) rod holder. Designed for 1973 19' square stern Grumman Boats aluminum canoe. Fits anywhere along the rail from bow to stern. Snap parts together on gunwale, insert rod holder pin in hole and is all locked together. Not necessary, but for more snug fit, added thin weatherstrip to inside face of ouboard mount. Rod holder pin is 1/2 inch diameter. Gunwale (top rail) is 1.25 inch across. Hull thickness 1.6 mm. Tumblehome curve. Fusion 360 file included, with modeled gunwale. If you make some other parts that fit your canoe rail, please share!
