Linked dipole center and pole support
Description
This is the center support for a linked dipole. It is made to hang on a 7.2m collapsible fishing rod that can be commonly found on Amazon for $30-$40. The hole for the rod is set at a 60 degree angle to maximize the surface area contact on the rod so that the weight is distributed a bit more on the rod to keep it from snapping at the contact point. In addition, I have added a rectangular key way in the center of the hole so that one can pass through a fishing line swivel through the hole. This allows the fishing rod to be used as a fishing rod or hang a light weight object from the top. The swivel also prevents the smallest portion of the rod from sliding back through the rest of the sections which if you have ever had this happen you know how much of a pain it is to try to get it back in correctly. It has holes for both RG8-X and RG174 to be wound through it for strain relief. In addition, there are holes in either corner that can be used to add a loop of cord to hang the center from a tree or light pole. I recommend using the insulators from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3806725 I have included a ring to add guy wires to the pole that should sit roughly 4-5 feet off the ground . If you are looking for measurements for the radiating elements, you can use this calculator: https://www.sotamaps.org/extras
