Land Rover 52mm hub nut socket
Description
I designed this socket for the hub adjusting nut and lock nut of my discovery 200TDi. It was made from PLA with a 1mm nozzle, 100% infill, 8 wall lines, 0.4mm layer height at 246ºC, default speed settings from CURA for 40mm/s and cooling fan off. It took about 2 Hours and 50 minutes to print. I recommend using a high diameter nozzle, and print at high temperature for better layer adhesion and overhaul socket strength. It can possibly be printed without 100% infil considering a sufficient number of wall lines. With this socket i was able to torque the four wheels. Withstood 61Nm of torque for the first tightening stage of the adjusting nut and 100Nm of torque to the lock nut without revealing any damage. This socket uses an 1/2 inch drive. Use some grease at 1/2 inch drive if fit is too tight.
