MicroSwiss Fan housing/Ener3 Pro/Creality/Part Cooling
Description
This is my attempt at a Fan housing for my Ender3-pro fitted with a MicroSwiss Direct drive system. I was fed up with not being able to easily and quickly access the Hot End on my printer. I did not want to have to undo any screws or brackets to either clean, or change the nozzle etc. With my design the whole shroud rotates out of the way and gives you unfettered access to the hot end. You can even remove the entire hot end without having to disassemble the fan shroud. Also with my design the heat exchanger cooling passes from left to right. I think this gives a much better flow of cooling air where it is needed, also you have very little air leakage toward the part which is being printed. I have been using this now for about 5 Months, without any issue. I am sure there could be more efficient ways of cooling the part, but I have had no problem with bridging etc. I haven't done any sort of fluid dynamic type simulations so I do not know exactly the path of air around the nozzle. This just works for me!!! I have been using 4020 Axial fans to produce better air flow.
