JGMaker Artist-D Pro Purge Buckets Redesign

JGMaker Artist-D Pro Purge Buckets Redesign

Description

The JGMaker Artist-D Pro is an IDEX 3D printer. Its original purge buckets are meant to brush off the independent extruders as they park, as well as catch oozing filament. The original equipment purge buckets are poorly designed and the extruders end up parking on top of the wire brushes, collecting oozing filament into a big messy glob, creating spider web stringing and generally defeating the purpose of the purge buckets. This design solves the shortcomings of the original purge buckets, both ensuring the parked extruders ooze into an open volume as well as turning the wire brushes 90 degrees for a more effective extruder nozzle cleaning. Further, my design includes removable waste bins so as the purge buckets fill up over a long print, they can be emptied without disturbing the print or possibly burning your fingers while trying to scoop out loose bits of filament.
