WLtoys 144001 Custom Body
Description
I couldn't find any body shell that could be easily 3D printed so I decided to design my own. This is a set of 3 custom body shells for WLtoys 144001 rc car. Just rotate the components vertically to reduce the supports to minimum. The windows are closed to make the sanding process easier. I found the following post processing steps to be the best one to achive a good result: - Sanding 120 - Spray filler - Sanding 600 (now the shell should look smooth and shiny) - Open the windows (I used a dremel but a cutter should work) - Paint with multiple layers after 15/20 minutes - For multiple colors let the paint dry for at least 24h before covering with tape or you will end up ruining the first color. I put a lot of effort in designing, printing and find a decent post-processing, any suggestion or improvement is much appreciated as well as a little tip if you enjoy the desings ;)
