Test Tubes for Filament Shrink Test

Test Tubes for Filament Shrink Test

Description

Three rectangular tubes used in a test to calculate the shrink percentage on your printer. The tubes were designed 20mm x 20mm x 100m with walls 5mm thick. They are orientated along each axis and no re-orientation should be required. Print all at once and measure the dimensions. calculate the percent that each shrank and take an average. Do this with each and average all the averages to get your final "shrinkage percentage" on your printer with the filament you used. Do this as many times as you wish to get a more accurate outcome. This final answer is not completely perfect and is not designed to be so. It just a guide for those who wish to make their prints slightly more precise. After recording your results, use the percentage to modify your models before printing. Files included: Shrinkage-Test-Tubes.stl Shrinkage-Test-Tubes-No-Text.stl (for printers with bad bridging quality) Spreadsheet.xlsx (Excel Spreadsheet to make your calculations easier)
