PowerLift Router Adapter
Description
This is a simple friction-fit collar to allow a 3.5” diameter cylindrical consumer router to be securely installed in a standard commercial router lift designed for 4.2” industrial routers. As I intend for this router to permanently live in the powered lift on my router table, I wanted a straightforward design that would, of necessity, be a challenge to remove. If there is a demand for it, I’ll release a design that allows for easier adapter install and removal. For best internal integrity and compression resistance, I recommend printing with carbon-fiber PLA, using 50% infill. This results in a good balance between excessively long print times and a strong, durable adapter.
