(yet another) Umbrella Holder

(yet another) Umbrella Holder

Description

Umbrellas had fully taken over the closet. With their aggressive posture, stiff demeanor, pointed attacks and delicate webbed sides, they had simultaneously wreaked havoc on the closet floor and also were prone to damage. After scouring the interwebs for just exactly the right umbrella holder, and not finding it, I set out to create my own because well, why not. Description ========= This one mounts four full size umbrellas vertically against a wall. The bottom piece (_Foot_) has individual small pockets to locate each umbrella tip, and a perimeter lip to catch any remaining water on the 'brella allowing it to spread out and dry. The bottom flits up against the baseboard (16mm wide in my closet). I used painter's tape on the wood floor, and stuck the base down to the painter's tape with double sided tape. This way the floor isn't damaged if I need to move it. The top piece (_WallClip_) mounts to the wall ~600mm directly above the bottom. It has long fingers which behave as a spring to hold them in their place, yet are easily deflected when placing or removing the umbrellas. It's sized such that the centers of the cavities is aligned to the bottom piece (given the 16mm baseboard thickness). Files ========== There are Left and Right variants to fit your particular situation. Two different _WallClip_ designs are included. One that has screw tabs hidden under the horizontal bar (I used this one), the other has screw pockets in each cavity and a hole in the finger so you can get a screwdriver to the mounting screw (have not printed or tested it, was just an idea I was playing with). Enjoy!
