Gigaware 25-496 Webcam Extrusion Mount

Gigaware 25-496 Webcam Extrusion Mount

Description

This is my first attempt at designing something I needed. It is a mount for an old Gigaware 25-496 webam I had lying around that works with Octoprint. I created this mount to be versatile, but I am currently using it with an M5 t-nut held to 2020 or 2040 aluminum extrusion (any size will work). It can be placed at any angle, just make sure it clears any moving parts. I may redesign it with nubs to hold the webcam instead of hardware at some point, but this seemed way easier with my current skillset. Yes - it looks terrible, but it's good enough for who it's for (me). I designed it to use an M5 countersunk head bolt that attaches to a T-nut in an aluminum extrusion on my Ender 3 V2 and my Prusa i3 MK3S with Bear frame, but it can be attached many different ways. I had M3 x 8mm bolts that thread into the plastic just fine, but it is designed to hold square M3 nuts. If your printer isn't fully dialed like mine, you can use a soldering iron to push the square nut into its home, but you will likely also have to use a drill bit to clean up the hole for the M3 bolts. Required Hardware: - M5 x 8mm countersunk flat head bolt - 2x M3 x 8mm bolts (or longer, it will just stick out) Optional Hardware: - 2x M3 square nuts
