Fan duct for 5015 on Anycubic using original metal housing
Description
Remake from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3292132 <b>I adapted this for fitting to the Anycubic i3 Mega S.</b> Mounted the 5015 into the original metal cover. Used the hole in the upper left corner and drilled a new hole in the lower right corner to fix the 5015. Than additionally fixed the fan duct with a m2 screw to avoid dropping it on the plate while printing. I placed a m2 nut inside with a drop of superglue. As you can see - there is enough space between the fan duct and the metal clamp which is holding the glass plate when moving the head to home position. I also added a tiny wall inside to support the layer above. It can easy be removed after printing. I used ABS - because PLA will melt when using bed temperatures above 80 degree. I had printed some other air ducts - where the fan is mounted behind the print head. These solutions were all unsuitable when printing ABS and the bed temperature is set to, say, 115 degrees. Then the material deformed. Or you have to readjust the height every time you want to open the housing of the print head once. This solution here is minimal and effective - and easy to install. That this part deforms at high bed temperatures is rather unlikely, since it is firstly fixed and secondly has little weight that would pull it down. Thanks for the original design! Print with no support - on the flat surface - enable bridge settings.
