TronXY X5SA Direct Drive Mount for Stock Extruder
Description
**This is my design to mount your Stock TronXY X5SA Extruder (stepper) above the hot-end, making it a pseudo Direct Drive system.** The mount re-uses the existing stepper, extruder, and run-out sensor. Added at the top of the mount is a connection to add a PTFE coupler to help guide the filament into the new filament path. ***I am also including my design for a filament guide arm for the rear of the machine to help guide the filament, it also has a attachment point for a PTFE coupler.*** The mount aligns with the existing points on the hot-end, it attaches via 4 points on the existing hot-end mount. The 2 lower holes between the roller wheels and the 2 holes used for the cable chain attachment point. The cable chain re-attaches to the same height just at the back of the new mount. You will need to use M3 screws and M3 washers & nuts to attach the bracket to the hot-end mount. Also you will need to use longer M3 screws for the extruder and run-out sensor as they now need to pass through the existing hot-end mount and new bracket. Please see the reference pictures for all mounting and attachments, and print settings for slicing the parts. ***This is my first design on Thingiverse, hope it helps you out. ***
