Bicycle Mud Flap
Description
After my saddlebag got filthy during a rainy ride, I wanted an easy cycling mud flap that could go beneath my saddlebag instead of over the top. I saw that my Topeak Aero Wedge Pack Medium had elastic straps beneath, so I designed this to go under the straps and fold behind at the hook-and-loop strap on the seatpost. I'm sure zipties, rubber bands, hook-and-loop straps, or probably even safety pins could be used to attach it beneath a saddlebag that does not have underneath straps. My 3D printer only has a printing range of ~ 140mm X 140mm, so I needed to cut it into manageable pieces and adhere them together once printed. It took a couple of prototypes to get the thickness right, but this thickness works optimally for me. You could make it thicker, but it might not bend right. You could make it thinner, but it might just flap and wobble. It works great.
