STAX L300 Earpad Spacer

STAX L300 Earpad Spacer

Description

I didn't want to pay 30 euros for a 3d-printed spacer so I made my own. Chances are, if you're reading this, you're probably trying to find a way to fix the horrible stock L300 earpads with the plastic extrusion that digs into your ears. This spacer will fix that issue. Soundstage sounds slightly wider, with no noticeable drop in audio quality. Whilst everyone's ear and head shape is different, for me, the 6mm still had minor contact with the inner grille of the earphone. Comfort was still vastly improved however. 8mm ensured my ears did not touch the inner grille at all, however comfort was slightly decreased (due to the higher clamping force). - These are symmetrical in the X axis, and hence can go on either L or R earspeaker. You can print 2 at once no problem. - You may have to use double-sided tape on the interface between the original earpad and this adapter. Use a very thin one which can easily be penetrated (the attached image should explain it well) - You may also have to get loose filament out of the holes or expand them (Really easy job, I just used an allen key and wiggled it around a bit) to ensure proper fitment. I printed fine without supports and 100% infill, to increase density. Hope this helps anyone else looking for a stax earpad spacer. It should fit on L500 and L700 too.
