Dry Box Spool Holder

Dry Box Spool Holder

Description

I made a drybox for my filament. Texas is humid, so this helps a lot. The thing I have posted is just the spool holder. I needed one that would fit in the Sterilite boxes I bought. All materials are listed and linked below. I then cadded a space for a humidity gauge. The holder fits the contours of the box itself and is held in place by gravity and the pressure from the pvc pipe that holds the filament. I can fit 4 rolls in one box and it keeps the humidity around 17-18% (even when the room is at 60-65%!). I ran Bowden tubes out of mine. It doesn't affect the humidity (I thought it might, but I tested it and it doesn't). You can skip that part if you just want a place to store your PLA. If you don't need to know the humidity, you can just print two "Spool Holder"s (without the hole). If you want to add a humidity gauge, print one "Spool Holder" and one "Spool Holeder" for each drybox. --Materials List-- Sterilite 20qt Clear Containers with Gasket: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002BA5F3O?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Humidity Gauges (2 pack x 3) -- These snap easily into place on the holders: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QMZL448?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Cable Glands for 1.75mm filament Bowden Tube (I cut 3-inch Bowden sections for each) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5HGYK2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Rechargeable Silica Gel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08653G47F?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details 1" (internal diameter) PVC Pipe (you will need sections cut to 12 and 1/8 inches)
