Filament RFID-Identifier for Ultimaker

Filament RFID-Identifier for Ultimaker

Description

While working with my Ultimaker 3 printer, I found it annoying to have an RFID reader for the filament and not be able to use it. After some searching, I got my hands on a project that makes it possible to RFID non Ultimaker filament and use it on the printer. No modifications to the device are necessary. I would just like to point out that I am not responsible for the project and the software. I just want to create a possibility that more people know about this function and can also use it. # Hardware - RFID Reader "ACR-122U - [Amazon Link](https://www.amazon.de/Writer-ber%C3%BChrungsloser-NFC-RFID-Leser-Schreiber-Chipkartenleser-Software/dp/B07X55CL4S/ref=sr_1_6?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=) - RFID TAG "ntag216 - [Amazon Link](https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B081QSRP1N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) # Software - [Spool-Maker](https://github.com/DA-Osborne/Spool-Maker) # QnA - Which operating system is required - Windwos and Linux should work - But I could only test it under Windwos 10. - How do I transfer the new materials to the printer? - Dis is possible with Cura. For this you have to create a new material. Copying already existing materials is not possible because otherwise no independent UID is created to identify the material. - How can I see which RFID profiles are stored on my printer? - By going to this page you can see all the stored profiles. - Please enter your own IP address of the printer. - http://xxx.xxx.x.xx/cluster-api/v1/materials/
