JGMaker Artist-D - Hemera / Matrix Extruder
Description
This is a remix of my previous extruder. I decided to change design as for me the previous design had two shortcomings: 1. BLTouch offset was too far from the nozzle meaning an area on the right side of the bed wasn't reachable (didn't experience a problem but the closer the better). 2. The 5015 mount design I was using (not my design) blocked the view of the nozzle which was frustrating when tuning. Changes from previous design: - Fan incorporated into the body - Fan provides airflow from the side and back (one air path across X and one across Y). - BLTouch relocated much close to nozzle (chose a small offset in X to not obstruct the view of the nozzle) - You no longer need to trim the PCB with ribbon cable connector in order for it to fit inside the electronics cap. -There is a position for an M3 screw on the E1_Carriage, you can add one to adjust your X home offset (if desired), leaving it out should put E1 nozzle roughly in stock location. I was quite happy to change the offset in firmware (you can also change home offsets with gcode M206). There are still a couple of things I'll change in the future (hence WIP): - E2 fan spreader design and assembly to be improved - the airpath could be improved (though the fan has enough airflow and pressure for it to not matter - currently run the fan at 60% else there is too much cooling) - Wire routing to be improved, a few pinch points that you need to be mindful of when assembling currently This is currently uploaded as a .3mf, when I'm happy with the release I will split it into STLs.
