Rear Battery Tray and Wire Tunnel for Freewing F-14 80mm EDF Jet
Description
I have created a rear battery tray and wire tunnel for the Freewing F-14 80mm EDF Jet. The rear battery tray is designed to fit tightly and glue into the foam slot on the floor of the jet. After using RCGeek's idea of carefully carving out foam at the rear of the compartment to allow further rearward movement of the battery, the battery strap of the tray was close to centered on the battery. Using this method allowed me to adjust my batteries in a way to achieve the manufacturers recommended CG using my 6S 5000mah batteries (LiPo batteries can vary greatly in weight and size, even at the same capacity, so results will vary). Prior to gluing the battery tray into the aircraft, I installed the battery strap (Velcro One-Wrap was my preference). The wire tunnel was designed to allow the wires going in/out of the battery compartment to be more organized and further out of the way of the rear battery. The wire tunnel is made to be glued in. ***User assumes all responsibility associated with use of the part(s).***
