Cat Treat Dispenser
Description
Designing a treat dispenser so my cat won't claw me for a snack. Work in progress, second iteration using food dispenser as the basic model. Printing: Filament - PETG Infill - 20% Problems: The spring does not fit the hole so may need to enlarge the hole or shrink the spring. I used a heat knife to cut and melt the spring part with the handle so that it could stay in place. To do: 1. cover, maybe the shape of a smaller cat - too much work, made a cover but the reservoir was too small to be useful. 2 another way to make a spring, maybe to adapt wire sprint instead - Uses Fibonacci spiral to make the spring, seems to work 3. Place to tie a string so the cat can dispense its own snack - Done, the cat wasn't bothering with that, guess she needs training 4. Redesign the funnel so that the square temptation mix actually go into the dispenser easier- done, the reservoir is still too small, 4.1- Create an adapter so a water bottle can be screwed on and be a reservoir instead. - Done, the mounting ring may need reworking but the bottle reservoir works. 5. add a mounting plate with dovetail so it can be screw into a wall -- Switching to a base system 6. adapter so the pet can press on it instead of clawing the dangly string to activate 7. add agitator to the roller/handle so the treats doesn't get stuck inside the bottle. --Done 8. Create a base so that the dispenser can be placed on the floor. -- done 8.1 Adjust the handle angle so that it would fit the Update: make the scoop a bit deeper, may need to do more test. side note probably can use the same mechanism to dispense pen or pencil, printing it is going to be a bit more problem though. Clean up afterward is still necessary, this isn't at the level of replicator technology, but at least you don't need a wood worker's skill. Good luck everybody.
