# Soda Can Streaming Microphone Stand ## **Overview** Needed a desk mount for my microphone and noticed energy drink cans come up to almost chin-level on my desk and balancing my microphone on top of one was the perfect height. Tapered top for microphone's that have a downward connecting USB port (mine did). Just pick your can (12 oz or 16 oz), print the base and top and now you the perfect face-level mic stand for any mic with 5/8 inch threading. ## **Printing** Infill: 100% recommended. Walls are only 2mm thick and you want good infill on the threading. Additionally since it's mostly printing circles it's faster just to doo 100% then to do infill patterns in around the circle which adds more nozzle movement and thus (for me) takes longer than just doing 100% infill to begin with. Support: Can be printed w/o support depending on your bridging performance and overhang angle. Most printers should be able to print w/o support. Adhesion: Skirt or none required. **WARNING** If printing with PLA, be VERY careful not to cross-thread when attaching to your microphone as the plastic is a lower hardness/strength than ABS, PETG, Nylon, or other stronger filaments.
