LED Corner Lamp Light Bar

LED Corner Lamp Light Bar

Description

Here's a modular LED light that can be stacked as high as you want! Specifically designed to be printed on a 3d printer. The idea came after seeing a lot of very expensive LED floor lights. This one has been designed to contain three LED strips within each segment, giving off a decent amount of light diffused through the white outer layer. After many prototypes, I've gone with a hexagonal shape as it's the easiest and most reliable way to print. The easiest way to implement the lights is to buy one of those cheap LED Strip Lights like this one, https://www.kmart.com.au/product/led-strip-light-with-remote---5m-cable-length/2503911. All of the electronics are done, all you need to is cut the LED strip at 300mm lengths, then do a small amount of soldering to connect each strip. If you don't want to solder, a single LED strip could be run, obviously it won't be as bright though. There's a connector which will link multiple strips together as well, so you can stack the light as high as you want. The stand is quite small, and I've not yet stacked above one high, so if you do find you want a wider stand for floor use please leave a comment. No supports required, even on the links. Print the "outer" in white. All other pieces in black or the colour of your choosing. You will need to rotate the pieces for printing. Print the "core" and "outer" flat on the bed, so it's 300m wide on the diagonal, in a U shape. Flip the "cap" 180 degrees so it prints with the bottom facing up. The "base" and "link" pieces can be printed as is. Ensure you align the link so that the inner spines align with the extrusions on the base and the LED core. Enjoy!
