Fly Swatter for Prosthetic Adapter
Description
SPU ENGINEERING - PROSTHETIC ADAPTER FLY SWATTER TOOL For a tools and systems course in the SPU engineering dept. I was tasked with designing an adapter piece and tool that would fit with a previously made prosthetic attachment. I'm a huge fan of hiking, camping, and the like so I thought it would be cool to design and print a fly swatter that could be used in these applications since bugs can often be a nuisance. The polygon shaped piece is the male adapter part that fits into the prosthetic attachment and the other part is the fly swatter which slide fits into the polygon adapter. I included a screenshot photo of the printer settings that were used to print each of these parts but I will state them again here: Quality: Layer height (mm) - 0.15 Shell thickness (mm) - 1 Fill: Bottom/top thickness (mm) - 0.8 Fill Density (%) - 20 Speed and Temp: Print speed (mm/s) - 30 Printing temp. (C) - 210 Bed temp. (C) - 70 Support: Support type - everywhere Filament: Diameter (mm) - 1.75 Flow (%) - 120.0 Machine: Nozzle size (mm) - 0.4
