200/300 TDi wading plug holder / tool
Description
This is a wading plug holder and tool for Landrover Defenders. Wading plugs need to be fitted if the vehicle is used for deep water crossings especially if the water is dirty. However the holes that these plugs block are actually important to let oil or water that has got into the bell housing or timing box out, so it's not a good idea to leave the plugs fitted all the time. The classic problem is knowing if you have the plugs fitted or not. They inevitably finish up at the bottom of a box in the back of the Landrover and it is a pain to find them if they are not fitted, to say nothing of finding a 13mm spanner/wrench to fit them. This very simple holder has threaded holes to hold the two wading plugs and three 13mm hex sockets that can be used to tighten or undo the plugs. I used a couple of pieces of micro pore tape to stick the holder to the dash so I can see at a glance if the plugs are installed or not.
