Labists Easythreed X1 1KG Spool and control module holder

Description

**** If you make it and it works, please click like :) **** *** Just added v4 of this design which now has a zip tie mount for the X axis cable *** Designed this because I found most designs available for this purpose did not suit my needs. Perhaps this will work for you. Please note: Any damage that results from you printing/using this object is solely your responsibility. Do so at your own discretion. I made this by cobbling several designs together and adding my own stuff. So, technically this could be considered a remix of several different objects and spool holders. So if you see an element of something you originally made, thanks for making this possible. You will need to print the spool spindle (the cylindrical spinny part) from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4144711 This holder comes with a place to put the electronics controller module as well as a zip tie mount for the controller module cable. The spindle mount has a place for a bearing you can use if you wish. The bearing needed is a standard one used by most fidget spinners. In order to install the bearing, you will likely need to enlarge the hole for it a bit. When I tried to put it in my first attempt, it split the plastic. Enlarging it with a rotary tool or with a bit of sandpaper should work. Placing the spool spindle on the spindle mount will also be a tight fit. If you wish this to work freely, you may have to sand the outer perimeter of this as well. But if you decide to also use the spindle as a handle, I recommend not installing a bearing and not sanding the spindle mount. Printing: PLEASE NOTE: Due to the clearance needed by the 1KG spool, I could not print this on the X1. Instead, due to the dimensions, you will need a printer capable of printing at least 150mm height. Feel free to remix this to attempt to fit the X1 if you wish. I printed this using standard PLA on standard resolution. I have built in support for the spindle holder which seems to be sufficient and can be discarded following the print. Make sure you enable the parts cooling fan at 100% to ensure the spindle holder does not excessively droop onto the support too much. Your printing temperature will vary depending on your ambient temperature. I used 25% infill which was sufficient for my needs to hold the 1KG spool.
