Bandsaw Throat Plate table insert for Delta 28-180 or 28-185 may fit others
Description
I was gifted a derelict Delta 9-inch benchtop bandsaw but the original throat plate was really chewed up and seemed rather flimsy. This replacement was designed to be stiffer and click more securely into the table. This was designed specifically for a Delta model 28-180 but should also fit a model 28-185. It might possibly fit other bandsaws that have a 1.5-inch square table cutout. I printed mine in PLA at 0.15mm with 30% infill. I found it necessary to print this on a raft to ensure that the top came out perfectly flat. It wanted to curl up a bit at the corners without the raft on my cheap-o printer with my limited experience. YMMV. UPDATE: I added a low clearance (not zero clearance) version since there was still quite a bit of room around the blade.
