Drone Frame H-type 220x250mm and 220x185mm
Description
I desing this frame for learning to fly fpv quads (I am utra noob). Still learning mostly on sim and on real trying not to crash during landing. So I tested the longer version with the quad in the photos and I think it is ok, but don`t take my opinion as such made from expert. Don`t have interest in racing, more in cine, cruising and in freestile maybe some day. How it really can fly has to say someone, that really can fly quads. Frames can be used also for "CheaterKwad" DYI drone. So, there are 2 versions of the frame 220x250mm and 220x185mm. I made the 2nd one, because not everyone have access to 300x300mm or 300x200mm build platform 3D printer. I made camholders for 28mm and 19mm FPV cameras (28 mm has reworked version for the short frame). Max. props size is 5.1 inch. Suitable motors 2306, 2207... For my setup I am using: Long version frame \250mm top and bottom plates\; B19 cheap fpv camera(19 mm) + TS5828S 600 mW VTX; Motors - T-motor F40 pro III; Props - Hurricane 51433-3; Jhemcu 40A 4 in 1 esc(30.5x30.5); Holybro KAKUTE F7 Mini V3 (20x20) with custom 3D printed adapter; Jumper R1+ RX; Standoffs 20+15mm; 4S LiIon homemade battery 3500 mAh(4x20700 NCR2070C 3500mAh). Everything is ABS, 30% infill, 0.2 mm hight and no supports. Some additional filling and/or drilling may be needed, but that depends from your print quality mostly. I don`t intent to make any future changes on the desings, but if there is anything totally wrong, then I`ll fix it. If You have any questions post a comment or contact me. That`s all. If You like my work any tips and donations will be much appreciated. 10.06.2021 Some updates... I decided to build (just to assemble - don`t have drone parts for it) the short version of the frame today and saw some problems, that have to be fix. So I did: 1. Reworked the 19mm cam holder, bacause in the original version it can`t be put in its place unless some cutting is done. New file - CamHolder19mmV2.stl and now it is OK for the both frames without any drama; 2. Reworked the arms - for users of motors with only 16x16mm mounting holes it wasn`t a problem, but for those, that want to use 16x16 + 19x19mm it was. So, now the holes for 19x19mm are in the correct places on the arms - ArmFixed19x19mm.stl Uploaded some new photos of the short frame + some info for the needed nuts, bolts and screws. 30.06.2021 So called legs are too week and are breaking easily. I`ll make some skids instead and upload them soon. 01.07.2021 Skids are ready ( Skid.stl ). My advice is to use them instead of legs. 28.07.2021 28mm cam holder for the short version has been reworked too. Couldn`t put my Razer mini in the previous one. Now it is fine for the both frames (CamHolder28mm_185mmBase_V2.stl). Short frame quad is ready. Some new pictures added. The setup is: Short version frame \185mm top and bottom plates\; Foxeer Razer Mini(28 mm) + AKK fx2-dominator VTX(30.5x30.5); Motors - 2207 Emax Eco; Props - Hurricane 51433-3; T-Motor Velox 45A 4 in 1 esc(30.5x30.5); T-Motor F722(30.5x30.5); Jumper R1+ RX; Standoffs 30+10mm; 4S LiIon homemade battery 4000 mAh(4x Samsung INR21700-40T). 31.07.2021 BN-220 GPS holder added(suitable for both frames). 2 new versions of the top plates added too (some extra holes on them - for the gps cable and for VTX SMA nut/connector). Also crashed yesterday with the smaller one and brake the base plate. The new one is made with 60% infill. If it brakes again in the similar way I`ll make new base plates with +2 mm in the flat sides. Some new photos uploaded.
